Changes at Colin Contracting – Kiwifruit Contracting Te Puke

After 23 years as owner manager of Colin Contracting, Colin Limmer has sold his business to Paul and Christine Donaghy.
Colin will remain with the business as a director and advisor to the Donaghy’s and commented; ‘I’m very excited for
Paul, given his extensive management experience in the wine industry. He is bringing a fresh set of eyes and ears to the
business. Already a complete overhaul of the Health and Safety Management plan with Coachio Group has been undertaken
which will make the business a leader in the contracting field’’. ‘’Having Paul in our industry can only be a
positive’’.
Paul comes with over 20 years in the wine industry and most recently seven years as General Manager of Rockburn Wines
Central Otago one of the fastest growing super premium Pinot Noir producers in the region with over 42 hectares of
plantings. In that time, Paul saw the business double to over 30,000 cases and oversaw the capital expansion of a new
winery in Cromwell.
Donaghy commented; “I’ve been working with Colin for the last few months and the move from grapes to kiwifruit has been
very exciting. The one thing that has come to light is the amount of negative press around Contractors thanks to a hand
full of ratbags. Something that is concerning for the industry and needs to be stamped out - however a positive for our
business. As we will continue to endeavour to lead the way in terms of Health and Safety, the quality of our team and
execution in the Orchard’’.
The entire Colin Contracting team has moved over to our business under the guiding hand of Jagrup Singh (Rupy) now as GM
of Operations.
The business will still trade as Colin Contracting.
