Lake Hood re-allocates prime land in new development release
February 2017, Lake Hood, Ashburton, Canterbury. Land that was previously allocated for high density apartments at Lake Hood has now been released as seven large sections. The sections available in stage 8b range in size from 1301sm2 to 2176sm2.
All sections have waterfront access and are proximal to the main lake and Lake House restaurant, for views and accessibility. “Our lifestyle size sections have been popular. But large sized sections with waterfront access and proximity to the main lake has never been offered on this scale before”, says Lake Hood Extension Project chairman Graham Kennedy.
Prices start from $340,000 and one section is already under offer. Prices of sections across the entire Lake Hood development now range from $165,000 to $430,000.
Lake Hood is set to double in size since its extension project was given the go-ahead by Environment Canterbury in 2010. The extension project will see the Lake Hood development reach a maximum of 500 properties overall and the lake size itself, doubled.
