Relief for Drivers as BP Reduces National Prices Again
BP decreased prices across its national company-owned network today, removing 3 cents per litre from petrol and 2 cents per litre from diesel.
This latest change brings unleaded 91 to 179.9 cents per litre and diesel to 92.9 cents per litre.
BP Communications Manager Shelley Brady said further decreases in refined product costs had enabled BP to pass through another decrease today.
“International supply continues to exceed demand off the back of increased production which has given us some cost relief, but the New Zealand dollar has declined, so we are watching this very closely,” she said.
“Drops in the dollar can offset the cost of product improvements we are seeing.”
BP has taken 14 cents off its national unleaded price and 27 cents off its national diesel price since early December.
BP national prices as 19 January 2016:
91 Unleaded 179.9 cents per litre
95 Unleaded 188.9 cents per litre
Ultimate 98 196.9 cents per litre
Ultimate Diesel 92.9 cents per litre
