Transtasman Company Named NZ’s Fastest Growing Agribusiness
Agricultural consultancy and rural investment management company Compass Agribusiness, has secured the title of New Zealand’s fastest growing agribusiness in the latest Deloitte Fast 50 Index.
The company, which has offices in both Arrowtown (New Zealand) and Melbourne (Australia), also placed 18th on the overall index ranking the 50 fastest growing businesses in New Zealand.
New Zealand based company director Guy Blundell says the ranking caps off a big year for the business.
“It’s been two years of significant growth on both the agri-consultancy side and in our portfolio of managed rural investments, especially as we further develop the Australian side of the business. To achieve this recognition is a huge thrill and acknowledges the mutually rewarding partnerships we have with our clients and investors and the top work being done by our own team.”
Compass Agribusiness currently manages a $60million portfolio of investment capital – a mix of dairy, cropping, sheep and beef farms – across New Zealand and Australia. The company’s 17 staff also provide strategic and ‘on farm’ operational advice, with specialist skills in irrigation feasibility, project management and succession planning.
