Bakery queen in line for retail crown
It was a cake walk to choose the latest regional winner for New Zealand’s prestigious ServiceIQ Retail Professional of the Year Award 2015. Selena Campbell is owner/operator of the popular Rosebowl Bakery and Café in Fielding.
She might be a great baker, but it was her excellent customer service skills coupled with her business success that made her the stand-out lower North Island regional winner say the judges.
ServiceIQ Retail Sector Manager and awards judge Clare Savage says: “Selena is a highly motivated and innovative manager with lots of engaging ideas to keep her customers coming back. She has created a fantastic retail business by making sure her customers receive consistently great service.
”On-job training has helped the ambitious baker and retailer achieve her goal to develop a successful and sustainable business.
“It’s been the most amazing experience and I have learnt so much. It has made me want to achieve more and progress my career into higher levels of management,” says Selena.
“Having a passion and drive for your job - it’s what you need to get the best out of every experience and push yourself to learn new things and give the best to every customer you serve.”
