Pandora Announces New Head of Artist & Industry Relations
AUCKLAND, AUGUST 14 – Pandora, the leading Internet radio service, announced today the appointment of Thomas Heymann to head up Artist and Music industry Relations across its’ Australia and New Zealand territories.
Reporting into the MD of Pandora ANZ, Thomas brings a depth of experience from many senior roles across the music industry both in Australia and Europe. He has a stellar track record in both traditional and digital music markets. Most recently launching on-demand music streaming service, Deezer, as Head of Australia and New Zealand, and before that working with key artists such as Cold Chisel, Led Zeppelin and The Doors to name a few, as VP of Strategic Marketing for Warner Music.
Jane Huxley, Managing Director of Pandora Australia and New Zealand, is delighted to have Thomas join, stating, “Pandora ANZ has so much potential to support local artists and provide them with a global audience of over 300 million listeners. Thomas’ experience will be key to us opening up further opportunities to connect local artists with potential fans.” “Thomas’ commercial acumen and strategic understanding of the music ecosystem will further enable Pandora to create profitable synergies between Bands, Brands and Fans”, she added.
Thomas is excited at the prospect of leveraging the 3 million-strong listener base of Pandora in Australia and New Zealand saying “Pandora is built with human needs and future relevance at it’s core, and I am inspired by the potential it offers artists in what is a new music world. I am eager to introduce local artists to some of the data and tools Pandora offers that can change the way they map their careers”
Thomas takes on his role on August 10 and will be located in Pandora’s Sydney Office.
