The Darling of the Show
The Darling Wines has been awarded “Winery of the Year” at the recent 2015 New Zealand Organic Wine Awards.
Owners and winemakers Chris Darling and Bart Arnst said they are “excited with the award”. Chris Darling also said “after winning ‘Wine of Show’ at the same competition last year, it is great to see our wines being continually recognised at this level”.
They were awarded three Gold and two Silver medals.
Bart Arnst, New Zealand’s leading organic consultant said “by working closely with our growers we are optimising each vineyard’s potential by growing the grapes organically”. Chris Darling commented that “we use organic grapes to increase texture and complexity in our wines”.
The Darling was established eight years ago and while still only having a limited production is now available in New Zealand and Internationally.
