Nam D Brings Vietnamese Street Food to the CBD
Lovers of fast & fresh Vietnamese fare in the CBD will soon be able to get their fix with the opening of the new Nam D outlet in Cable
Car Lane, Lambton Quay. The latest sibling to the wonderfully authentic Nam Restaurant in Willis Street Village, Nam D
will bring Vietnamese street food with the high quality, freshness and flavour that earned Nam a reputation and loyal
following over the years.
Owner Nikki Chung says “‘Di’ in Vietnamese means ‘to go’, so the concept behind Nam D is to serve freshly prepared,
light & nutritious Vietnamese street food for busy people on the go. Street food is at the heart of Vietnamese cuisine.”
The main attraction will be ‘Banh Mi Thit’; a crispy baguette spread with homemade butter & pate, and filled with any combination of meats, coriander, chili, pickled carrot & radish; a real Vietnamese taste sensation and one of the most popular Vietnamese street foods around the world.
In addition, favourites such as rice paper rolls, salads and their daily Pho (noodle soup) Special will ensure
everyone’s taste buds are well taken care of.
“As with our restaurant, everything for Nam D is sourced and prepared daily from fresh ingredients including the Pho
soup which takes the best part of 8 hours to make.” says Nikki.
Nam D in Cable Car Lane is due to open its doors on Monday 11th August, with general opening hours between 11 am to 3:30
