New Zealand Fashion Label Goes Global
ReCreate Store are taking their innovative, kiwi-designed, ethically produced clothing collection to the world with a crowd funding campaign through “Kickstarter”. The ReCreate Store creators are passionate about how ethical business can produce high quality, design focused products that the consumer will love. The Store has the tag-line “Creating Trade, Creating Change”.
Recreate Store has seen Kickstarter campaigns succeed with other ethical business projects and said that, “the opportunity to engage with a creative community of funders to pitch their project was an attractive prospect”. ReCreate needs to raise funds and is using Kickstarter to get the fundraising moving.
Kickstarter campaigns have a set number of days to raise all funds with an ‘all or nothing’ policy. If the project goal isn’t reached, ReCreate receives nothing. The funding site is based on a pledge and reward system. Pledgers are in essence pre-purchasing ReCreate products - providing much needed funds to complete production of the clothing line for rewards of items from the collection.
ReCreate Store is the brainchild of four kiwi women and is set to bring a refreshing combination of quality design and ethical production to the fashion industry. The clothing collection has been designed here in New Zealand and production will take place in a Sewing Centre that ReCreate has helped establish in Cambodia.
