NZTech announces three new board members
The country’s technology industry association has elected three new members to its board at their latest AGM in Auckland.
New Zealand Technology Industry Association (NZTech) promotes the technology industry's role in accelerating economic and social advance for New Zealanders, through direct collaboration with government leaders and other sector groups, and communication with all manner of stakeholders here in New Zealand and abroad.
The three new board members are Jonathan Miller from Callaghan Innovation, Rob Old from Provoke Solutions and Fronde’s David Roberts.
They join Tom Duffy (Fuji Xerox), John Ferguson (NZTE), Gavin Greaves (HP New Zealand), Jo Healey (Fujitsu), Bennett Medary (Simpl), Steve Newman (EROAD) and Bob Pinchin from Swaytech.
Three board members retired, Ian Clarke (Fronde), Paul Muckleston (Microsoft) and John Wadsworth (Manukau Institute of Technology).
Electronic online voting was introduced for the first time and association Chair, Bennett Medary, says that the voting process went very smoothly and was well received by NZTech Members.

Jonathan Miller
Jonathan Miller is National Network Manager - ICT at Callaghan Innovation. In this role Jonathan is charged with leading collaboration between and within New Zealand industry and the R community, to develop and grow a national strategic road map for ICT science and technology.
Jonathan joined Callaghan Innovation when it was formed in February 2013.
Rob Old
Rob Old is an Executive Director of NZ-grown global software development company, Provoke Solutions, and General Manager of Provoke's Wellington operation. He has an extensive history in the New Zealand technology and telecommunications sectors, holding a variety of senior positions at Microsoft, Fronde and TelstraClear.
A family man raising two boys, Rob is passionate about fostering youth development in the technology sector and creating opportunities for young people to build successful careers in the IT industry.
David Roberts
David Roberts is Chief Marketing Officer for Fronde, a leading Australasian technology company specializing in cloud and cloud integration. David returned to New Zealand after seven years in London and working throughout Europe. He’s passionate about seeing New Zealand companies succeed on the world stage.
