Get ready to go nuts on National Nut Day – Tuesday 21 October 2014 is the day for all Kiwis to enjoy and explore all things magnificent about the humble and wholesome nut.
Driven by Mother Earth and Alison’s Pantry, National Nut Day is about celebrating all the different types of nuts, unearthing their many health benefits, using nuts in a range of recipes, and discovering new nut pairings.
Whether enjoyed as a snack on the go, sprinkled on cereal or used in cooking and baking, Kiwis across the country are encouraged to enjoy a daily handful (30g) of their favourite nuts as part of a healthy diet.
