Research Association NZ Welcomes the DIVAS Award to New Zealand
A first for the New Zealand Research Industry, the globally recognised DIVAs award will now be presented as part of the
2014 Research Effectiveness Awards in Auckland on 26 September.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to recognise visualization specialists and, thanks to Infotools and Auckland Council,
entries are now open and welcome to compete for this data visualization award,” says Rob Clark, chairman of Research
Association NZ.
Patricio Pagani of Infotools says: ‘If you’re a visualization specialist, we’d love you to submit an entry to Research
Association NZ’s website by 16 August 2014. As researchers, communicating data insights is what we’re good at, and the
DIVAs are a great way to showcase our creativity and ingenuity.’
The aim of the DIVAs is to showcase the value of visualizing consumer insight data, and to share its benefits throughout
the industry.
‘We are excited to use this opportunity to put data visualization where it belongs… in the limelight,’ says Rob Clark.
Entrants will have an opportunity to explain why they feel their particular visualization most effectively communicates
research insight. All formats are welcome and sensitive data will be kept anonymous.
‘Data visualization is an integral part of telling stories successfully, opening up possibilities that quickly resonate
with our audiences and point to the exciting new business opportunities that ultimately benefit customers,’ says Kenneth
Aiolupotea of the Auckland Council.
Auckland Council are co-sponsoring the DIVAs in New Zealand together with Infotools, who partnered with the GreenBook to
promote the award around the world.
