New retail store launches asking shoppers to take off their shoes at the door.
On Saturday July 19 at 9am in Albany’s Westfield Shopping Centre, the new look
Number One Shoes super-store will launch with a housewarming party inviting the public to take off their old shoes at the door and walk in barefoot to get a brand new pair, all for free.
Limited to the first 100 people through the doors, it’s a shoe store opening set to bring excitement to local Albany shoppers this Saturday.
Number One Shoes’ new Albany super-store is the first of its kind in New Zealand. Made up of a series of ‘shoe zones’ it caters to women, men, kids, teens, toddlers, brides and even sports lovers. The kids’ zone has a play area with fun seating to entertain children while parents shop and the separately styled bridal zone has a 10-person ottoman, large enough to seat an entire bridal party.
“The Number One Shoes Albany store housewarming party will be first-in-best-dressed with a new pair of free Number One Shoes, so be quick! We have the biggest range of stylish and affordable shoes in New Zealand and our new super-store makes it super easy to find exactly what you need,” says Stacey Earle, Number One Shoes Albany Store Manager.
The Edge FM’s drive show host and DJ, Clint Roberts will be spinning tunes live on Saturday and the good folks from Nice Blocks will have loads of free ice-cream to giveaway. Number One Shoes is also giving away $30,000 worth of ‘shoe money’, an in-store shoe currency created exclusively for the Albany store. Every time a shopper spends $10 they will get $1 of Number One Shoes ‘shoe money’ in return.
