ServiceIQ congratulates WorldSkills winners
Apprentices and trainees from around the country gave it their best at WorldSkills NZ in Hamilton last weekend.
The national championship in workplace skills saw 90 trainees compete in 18 trade categories. ServiceIQ supports four of these:
• Aircraft Maintenance (Gold medal Liam Riley, NZ Defence Force; Silver medal Christopher Robertson, NZDF)
• Cooking (Gold medal Jacklin Pillay, Urban Soul; Silver medal Cole Falloon, Wharekauhau Lodge)
• Restaurant Service (Gold medal Kowai Te Kure, NZDF; Silver medal Kassey Samuels, NZDF)
• Visual Merchandising (Gold medal Holly Phelwasher, Eastern Institute of Technology: Silver medal, Emily Childs EIT)
ServiceIQ chief executive Dean Minchington said, “It was great to see the commitment and skill the WorldSkills finalists displayed over two days of serious competition. As the Industry Training Organisation for the service industry, ServiceIQ has the vision of a world class service industry through qualified people. Our congratulations go to our medal winners, the winners in the other categories, and all the competitors.”
