Waikato HomeXPO - Autumn extravaganza of product and services at direct to the consumer prices
It’s time to plant spring bulbs, test the smoke alarms, clean the gutters, stack the firewood and prepare the home for a
cosy and comfortable winter.
For three days next week, thousands of existing and future home-owners are expected at the Waikato HomeXPO at
Claudelands Arena in Hamilton. Visitors wanting their homes to be warm and comfortable and after expert advice and
direct from the manufacturer prices will be spoiled for choice.
Organisers of this year’s Waikato HomeXPO are confident of visitor numbers well in excess of the 15,000 who attended the
boutique HomeXPO last year.
Exhibition director Rebecca Hannah said New Zealand was experiencing the biggest construction boom in 40 years with the
Waikato identified as one of the busiest regions after Auckland and Christchurch.
“Four leading Waikato new home building companies, Urbo homes, Cambridge Homes, Design Builders and Platinum Homes will
showcase their new home designs and visitors will have the opportunity to talk directly with the company owners. There
will also be hundreds of exciting new ideas and products for building, renovating and decorating including the latest
bathroom products and kitchen designs, double glazing, heating, renovation experts, flooring and paint concepts and spa
pools.”
Ms Hannah said visitors were expected to be quick to snap up great deals for building, renovating and a diverse range of
home improvements over the three day event. Those looking to book a sun filled break away during the winter months will
be spoiled for choice with Classic Escapes special prices.
She said a massive prize pool of more than $100,000 including a Swift GLX auto is also up for grabs.
One of Hamilton’s most popular cafes Hazel Hayes will be setting up a cafe at the HomeXPO serving a variety of the
freshest handmade food with a strong focus on seasonal, quality and organic ingredients.
The Waikato HomeXPO is part of the revamped new Waikato Show which celebrates the talent and diversity of the Waikato
community with children’s events, a cultural village of ethnic foods, craft fair and environmental and wellbeing
exhibitions plus a focus on clubs and creativities. Something for everyone.
