NZ Cloud storage price drop + new Import/Export via HDD

Published: Mon 3 Mar 2014 05:12 PM
Auckland, New Zealand.
Local cloud storage company Cloud Scale is pleased to announce the first drop of its storage pricing, and a new data transfer method -- hard drives by courier.
Says Managing Director Joel van Velden, "With such a great uptake in our cloud storage services we are able to use our economies of scale to reduce our prices. This was always anticipated, but not within our first month of service! This speaks volumes of the willingness of kiwi companies to use NZ-hosted cloud storage if its competitively priced."
The price drop is for data volumes over 1TB/Mth reducing by 5 to 15 cents/GB-Mth depending on usage level.
Cloud Scale is also announcing immediate availability of its new data Import/Export by Courier. "For $80+GST per drive customers can courier us a 2.5" or 3.5" hard drive up to 4TB and we upload/download their data into our cloud storage without a per-GB charge or per-hour charge.
We are the first cloud storage company in Australasia to offer this. Neither Amazon or Rackspace operating in Sydney offers this service, both forcing their customers to have to send drives to the US or Singapore."
