Campuspecs gives back to community.
Campuspecs, Auckland’s only optometry practice specialising in tertiary student eye care, has announced a new partnership with Auckland Women’s Refuge, offering free eye examinations and spectacles to the refuge’s clients.
Auckland Women’s Refuge was the second refuge to be established in New Zealand and has been operating since September 1975, providing safe houses and community support services for women and children.
Ms Donna Hill, Finance Manager at Auckland Women’s Refuge says, “The refuge is delighted to be able to enter into this relationship with Campuspecs”; she continues, “This is an element of health care that is often forgotten. Ensuring that our clients receive the correct prescription for their eyesight and being able to offer them free spectacles can only enhance the services we offer.”
Campuspecs, Practice Manager, Ms Bernice Reddy says, “Organisations like Women’s Refuge deserve the support of local businesses and we’re pleased to be able to do our bit. We embrace a company policy of good corporate citizenship and we have further partnerships with other organisations in the pipeline.”
Campuspecs can be found within, X-Gallery (the old Auckland Art Gallery), Corner of Wellesley and Lorne Streets in the CBD.
