Accurate Locksmithing & Security Engineering is Dedicated to Providing Excellent Quality Service to Customers to Ensure Your Peace of Mind:
Master Key Solutions
Accurate has been installing master key systems for enterprises in Auckland since 1979. With more than three thousand
systems installed, Accurate’s locksmiths are some of the best when it comes to system design, installation and system
management
Master key systems may seem old fashioned compared to electronic access control, but these systems, when key issuance
records are maintained, are some of the most cost effective means of access control for enterprises. This is
particularly in New Zealand where horizontal distances are great and the cost of running cables for access control
systems can be high.
Master key systems, when used in conjunction with electronic access control, often provide the most cost effective
solution for enterprises in New Zealand. Accurate has the experience and knowledge to provide advice on the best system
for your enterprise. Master key systems are hierarchical key systems that restrict access to those users that have
access rights areas of a building or other facility.
For example, while the principal of a school may hold a master key and be able to open most or all doors at a school,
the English teacher may only have access to the English room, the staff lounge and the front door of the building.
Security engineering at Accurate
Since 1983, Accurate has been helping companies, schools and government institutions make smart decisions about all
elements of security.
Examples of Projects
• Landscaping to prevent ram-raids (i.e. when a vehicle is used to break into a premises)
Accurate worked with landscaping architects to create barriers to vehicles outside of headquarters of a prominent NZ
company. Large rocks and earth were positioned to create barriers to vehicular entry. Area was planted and end product
aesthetically pleasing.
• Create more secure doors with biometric locks for rooms containing confiscated items at airport
Accurate worked with a government department to create steel doors with biometric locking so that only authority
officials could enter contraband containment room.
• Upgrade security of prominent clothing outlet in notoriously crime-ridden neighborhood
Accurate worked with shop fitters and an in-store security firm to upgrade an existing retail outlet so that it could
contain merchandise that is notoriously difficult to protect in a crime-ridden neighborhood. A combination of roller
shutters with custom made tie downs and locks, steel window bars, and steel bollards outside the outlet were used in
conjunction with an integrated alarm and CCTV system.
When a business needs to take action to deal with current or possible sources of disruption, ranging from natural
disasters to malicious acts, Accurate’s Security Engineering Team is available to provide advice and cost effective
solutions.
Accurate Locksmith also owns a residential division, situated at the new website http://www.locksmiths.co.nz
The Security Engineering Process at Accurate
1. The process begins with defining functional and user requirements. Accurate’s technicians work with property
managers, security managers or architects to define functional and user requirements for buildings and their access
points (i.e. doors and gates). If a security policy exists, then the requirements of this policy will be incorporated
into the design of the system.
2. The process continues with a discussion of the budget available for the security improvements. In many cases, there
is a range of solutions. Lower cost/lower tech solutions often exist that can achieve the goals of the business, school
or government entity.
3. With the completion of the survey and discussion on budget available, a system outline and cost estimate is provided
for consideration.
4. The process continues with the installation and project execution.
5. Maintenance and monitoring mark the last phase of the process. Accurate guarantees all work and is committed to
ensuring the system meets or exceeds all specified requirements.
