Liam Gallagher does a spot of Auckland shopping for charity.
Liam Gallagher, former Oasis frontman and band member of The Beady Eye, who is in Auckland for today’s Big Day Out, was spotted doing a bit of shopping in Ponsonby.
The singer bought two "Love" coffee cups from the WORLD beauty store, designed by the fashion label for The Village Project, a kiwi not-for-profit group that raises money to provide water for Ugandan communities in need.
The designer cups have been hand-crafted on Waiheke Island and buying one, from any WORLD store gives kiwis the direct opportunity to help Ugandan villages.
The Village Project is an initiative that is responsible for the construction of a rainwater collection and distribution model passing on the skills to Ugandan villages to build more. It is this system that allows villages to become less reliant on wells and ultimately less vulnerable to drought, famine and disease.
The Village Project coffee cups are $25.00, and can be purchased from WORLD stores and online www.thevillageproject.org.nz
