Isner celebrates 23 ace tennis victory with Moët & Chandon
New Zealand Festival of Tennis onlookers witnessed impressive tennis sportsmanship on Saturday 11 January as John Isner
bet Yen-Hsun Lu 7-6 (4), 7-6 (7) and fired 23 aces in the match, winning this year’s Heineken Open. Moët & Chandon the official champagne sponsor of the New Zealand Festival of Tennis awarded Isner’s victory with a
personalised Moët & Chandon jeroboam, created exclusively to honour exceptional sporting achievement.
Isner, ranked No. 14, won his eighth career singles title and took the title in New Zealand for the second time after
his victory in 2010. “This match was very tight, as every match I've played this week was very tight”, says Isner.
