Sofitel Queestown Leads NZ on Conde Nast List

SOFITEL QUEESTOWN HOTEL & SPA LEADS NEW ZEALAND ON CONDE NAST’S TOP TEN HOTELS LIST
Queenstown, New Zealand, Thursday 17th October 2013 – Sofitel Queenstown Hotel & Spa has led New Zealand as the nation’s top ranking hotel on USA magazine Conde Nast Traveler’s 2013 Readers’ Choice Awards revealed this week. Sofitel Queenstown Hotel & Spa took second place in the competitive category of ‘Top 10 Hotels in Australia & Pacific’ scoring scoring 86.3% behind Australia’s Park Hyatt Sydney.

Nearly 80,000 people worldwide took part in Conde Nast Traveler USA magazine’s annual Readers’ Choice survey this year – more than ever before – casting 1.3 million votes. The survey extended to the world’s best cities, hotels, resort, cruise liners and airlines.

Sofitel Queenstown Hotel & Spa’s latest readers’ choice win punctuates a bountiful awards run in recent years. In June this year, Sofitel Queenstown Hotel & Spa was recognized by readers’ of another respected travel magazines, Travel+Leisure Asia (T+L), named in its top five list of hotels in the Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific region. T+L’s reader’s awarded the hotel a score of 90.00 out of 100 in regards to its perceived service with guests.
In addition, in 2011 the hotel beat out thousands of others worldwide to take first place in Travel+Leisure USA’s World’s Best Spa award category, and in 2012 earned a place in T+L’s World’s Best Awards as one of the top ten best cities across Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific.
