New Zealand’s Big Winning Stores Revealed
There’s a record prize pool of $47 million up for grabs across Big Wednesday and Lotto Powerball this week. But who will sell the winning tickets?
Tonight’s Big Wednesday jackpot stands at $20 million – the third highest ever seen in the game, and Saturday’s Lotto Powerball draw stands at $27 million, also the third highest in this game’s history.
But how many Lotto stores have sold both a Powerball First Division winning ticket AND a Big Wednesday First Division winning ticket? Only five, in Lotto New Zealand’s 26-year history, according to records released today.
Two stores in Auckland have sold tickets that won the top prize in both large jackpotting games – Pakuranga Lotto in the south of the city and Hayward’s Paper Power in Devonport.
Further south, Kuripuni Lotto and Post in Masterton, and Andrew Spence Pharmacy in Napier have also sold Big Wednesday and Powerball First Division winning tickets.
And if you can’t get to any of these stores? You’re in luck, because the fifth outlet to sell both a Powerball First Division winning ticket and a Big Wednesday First Division winning ticket is available right across the country: it’s Lotto New Zealand’s online retail outlet, MyLotto.co.nz.
The jackpot amounts have kept climbing, but this week could see the making of brand new multi-millionaires.
