Board Appointments to Drive C3 Expansion
C3 Limited, New Zealand’s largest provider of on-wharf logistics services, has strengthened its Board team as the company seeks to continue its expansion across the Australasian port network.
Board Chairman Jon Mayson confirmed C3 Limited Chief Executive Dean Camplin and international ports, logistics and container terminal operations adviser Tony Boyle had been appointed to the Board, providing C3 Limited with the strategic vision the company needs to build on recent growth and continue its push into new markets.
“Dean and Tony bring tremendous experience in the ports and logistics industry to the Board and their input will be invaluable as we continue to focus on providing the world’s most efficient port handling services to a greater number of Australasian ports and their customers.
“As Chief Executive, Dean has overseen significant growth in C3 Limited’s revenue despite global financial volatility. Under his guidance C3 Limited has become an award-winning company that is the trusted partner of major New Zealand ports and their customers.
“Tony is recognised as the hands-on expert in New Zealand container operations industry. We’re looking forward to C3 Limited benefitting from the strategic insights he has gained from more than 25 years’ experience in managing global international shipping and port operations,” Mr Mayson said.
Established in 1950, C3 Limited provides port sector services such as marshalling, stevedoring, warehousing and on-wharf logistics management to some of New Zealand’s leading companies including Carter Holt Harvey, New Zealand Steel and RD1 Nutrition, and the major forestry owners, both in New Zealand and Australia. The company currently handles 14.5 million tonnes of cargo annually across 15 ports in New Zealand and Australia.
Mr Mayson noted that collectively, the C3 Limited Board has more than 100 years’ experience in the logistics and transport industries.
Asciano Director of Ports and Stevedoring, Philip Tonks remains on the C3 board, further enhancing the international expertise available to C3 while providing close links to C3’s parent company, Asciano Limited. C3 is part of Asciano’s Ports and Stevedoring division, which specialises in the management of ports and supporting infrastructure and the provision of port related logistics at bulk and general ports.
Asciano is Australia’s largest national rail, freight and ports operator, and became the sole owner of C3 Limited in November 2012.
“Asciano’s resources will be invaluable to C3’s expansion plans,” said Mr Mayson.
