Diversity organisation leads by example
The Equal Employment Opportunities Trust is proud to announce its newly appointed chief executive, Bev
Cassidy-Mackenzie.
Chairman of the EEO Trust, Michael Barnett, says the board of trustees welcomes Mrs Cassidy-Mackenzie as the CEO, as she
had assisted the Trust through a restructuring process over several months and the Board had been impressed with her
passion for issues associated with diversity and gender equity and has offered her the role.
Mr Barnett says “Mrs Cassidy-Mackenzie has extensive experience with the “Not for Profit” sector and membership
organisations which will benefit the growth of our Trust.
Mr Barnett says Mrs Cassidy-Mackenzie will continue with the Trust’s focus of assisting all employers to better
understand the benefits of adopting EEO/diversity practices as a powerful way to increase business efficiency,
competitiveness and profitability.
The EEO Trust assists employers in introducing and managing proven EEO thinking and practices, encourages diversity by promoting the
recruitment and development of people on the basis of merit and generates awareness of the business benefits and rewards
of an inclusive workplace.
