Agenda Restaurant and Nightclub Ups the Tempo for Hospitality Awards Season
Hamilton’s Victoria Street Restaurant and Nightclub Agenda have added the titles Best Restaurant and Best Bar to their growing collection of awards this week.
The news came Wednesday with results of the Waikato Times Tempo People’s Choice Awards being published.
Owners Heidi Jordan and Logan Hughes are ecstatic with the news and say the awards are a reflection of hard work and a fantastic team of staff.
“We’ve worked really hard over the past three years to operate not only one but two successful businesses under the one roof, we’ve learnt a lot and we’ve seen a lot of changes. We’re glad to hear that people are enjoying what we do,” says Heidi.
Proving that good things come in threes or in this case the businesses’ third year of opening, Agenda has been recognised for numerous achievements in recent months.
The 2012 Hamilton Central Business Awards named Agenda runner up in Hospitality Excellence for displaying outstanding proficiencies during their restaurant service.
Judging categories included service manner, knowledge and experience of staff, as well as overall presentation and atmosphere.
Furthermore, as one of Hamilton’s most popular nightclubs for under 30’s, Agenda was announced a national finalist for Best Music Entertainment Venue in the Hospitality New Zealand Awards for Excellence 2012.
“The entire team are so proud of our achievements this year but what we appreciate most about the Tempo Awards is that they’re entirely determined by public voting. The fact that we have customers that like us enough to take the time to vote means the world to us,” says Logan.
The restaurant’s next eagerly awaited awards are the New Zealand Beef and Lamb Awards in January which celebrate excellence in the preparation and service of New Zealand beef and lamb products.
Agenda foresees busy months ahead with Christmas functions filling December and renovations planned for 2013, while the nightclub team are already in planning mode for next year’s events.
