Future Dragonz wins diversity award
Auckland, 21 August 2012 – Future Dragonz was recognised for its outstanding efforts in promoting cultural diversity at the New Zealand Diversity Awards in Auckland last night.
The award acknowledges the innovation and leadership behind the events Future Dragonz delivers to build Auckland’s Chinese young professionals’ community.
Presented by the Human Rights Commission, the annual awards commend 12 organisations that have contributed to strengthening race relations in Aotearoa New Zealand.
“We are delighted to have received this award. Our creative team derives a lot of pleasure from designing and producing events. We want to extend a special thank you to those who attend our events. We wouldn’t be here without your support and feedback.
Chinese young professionals are a burgeoning market around the world and across this country, especially in Auckland. They are set to be a dominant force and one to keep a close eye on,” said Helen Cheng, Chief Architect of Future Dragonz.
An initiative of the New Zealand Chinese Association Auckland, Future Dragonz is New Zealand's leading Chinese young professionals' network, offering social networking and learning opportunities to local and overseas born Chinese. Monthly events in Auckland focus on enhancing members' social networks, professional growth and personal wellbeing. To find out more about the network, please visit www.futuredragonz.org.nz
