Hawke’s Bay set to wow world tourism market
Next week Hawke’s Bay will be showcased on the world travel stage at TRENZ (Tourism Rendezvous New Zealand) held in Queenstown 7th-10th May.
Managed by the Tourism Industry Association of New Zealand (TIANZ) TRENZ brings together approx 900 International Travel and Tourism Buyers from 31 countries representing traditional and emerging visitor markets, New Zealand tourism operators (Exhibitors) and domestic and international media.
Hawke’s Bay Tourism is leading the regions representation at this event. Local tourism operators exhibiting at TRENZ with Hawke’s Bay Tourism include Gannet Safaris Overland, Art Deco Trust, The Crown Hotel, Mangapapa Petit Hotel, Takaro Trails, Glen Aros Country Estate, The Farm @ Cape Kidnappers and the Classic New Zealand Wine Trail.
All Hawke’s Bay exhibitor stands are branded with banners displaying iconic Hawke’s Bay images with the Hawke’s Bay brand and “Get me to Hawke’s Bay” tagline. All Hawke’s Bay representatives will also be wearing “Visitor from Hawke’s Bay” T-Shirts to gain additional attention and PR during the event.
Hawke’s Bay Tourism General Manager Annie Dundas says “TRENZ is a key business opportunity to showcase Hawke’s Bay tourism product and services to targeted travel buyers to negotiate contracts for the coming seasons. Hawke’s Bay has a big part to play at TRENZ both during the show and hosting travel buyers prior to the event. Sixteen buyers are being hosted in Hawke’s Bay this year which is invaluable as showcasing Hawke’s Bay first-hand is the very best way to ensure pick up from international travel buyers and agents”
Hawke’s Bay will also be showcasing Central Hawke’s Bay lamb from Silver Fern Farms, produce from Aromatics, Hohepa Cheese, Silky Oak Chocolates and Orcona Chillies with wine from Trinity Hill, Sacred Hill, Elephant Hill, Craggy Range, The Mission, Black Barn, Sileni and Clearview Estate at a special Hawke’s Bay evening for international travel buyers during the event.
Michael Neilson from Gannet Safaris Overland says ‘We have a steady stream of quality appointments which we are confident will lead to increased business and we are looking forward to another positive event which will benefit the Hawke’s Bay tourism industry’
