Chen Palmer wins New Zealand’s Best Public Law Firm Award
Chen Palmer New Zealand Public and Employment Law Specialists has been named New Zealand’s Best Public Law Firm for the fifth year in a row at the New Zealand Law Awards tonight.
“It is an honour to be a recognised fifth time for delivering solutions for our clients across the entire public law spectrum including working with government, in policy and legislation and in litigation. It is their votes which win us this award, and they are the best judges. We only won this award because they think we add value,” said Mai Chen, the firm’s founding Partner.
The Award tops off a stellar year for Chen Palmer, now entering its 19th year:
The Firm has expanded its public law practice to meet the demand for high quality public law advice and includes teams of solicitors specialising in Privacy, Education, Maori Legal issues, Commercial Regulation, Litigation, Working with Government and Parliament;
Mai Chen recently won Next Magazine’s Business Woman of the Year Award; and
The firm broadened its specialities to employment law this year, welcoming Susan Hornsby-Geluk and her team of outstanding employment lawyers. Chen Palmer was also a finalist in the Best Employment Law category at the Law Awards for the first time this year.
“In March 2012, I will be publishing the Public Law Toolbox with LexisNexis, and sharing the knowledge and experience of New Zealand’s Best Public Law firm with businesses, advocacy groups, iwi, students of law, business and government” Ms Chen said.
