Exclusive 'Offer Zone' Website Launched for Locals

Offer Zone, a new website that promotes special offers of products and services from local businesses to local people is now live in the Rotorua and Taupo districts.

An initiative from Tauranga based power generator and retailer TrustPower, Offer Zone enables its 16,500 residential customers across the Rotorua and Taupo districts the chance to access exclusive special offers made by TrustPower business customers.

This follows the successful launch of Offer Zone in Tauranga in May which exposes local TrustPower business customers and their offers to more than 60,000 Tauranga-based TrustPower residential customers.

Right now, Offer Zone is brimming with more than 1,000 active deals and discounts, including 150 from Rotorua and Taupo businesses.

Offer Zone isn't an auction site nor do you get just one deal a day. Instead you can access hundreds of offers every day, and the offers are valid for as long as the business keeps the posting active.

Offer Zone's Katie Clark is looking forward to seeing Rotorua and Taupo customers jump at the opportunity to get a bargain and support local businesses at the same time in a new and easy way.

"It's an awesome way for all of our customers to benefit. Not only are our business customers keen to promote their products, our residential customers get these great offers too.

"Our development team has focused on building a website that is easy for people to use without being a computer whiz," says Miss Clark.

TrustPower's General Manager of Commercial Operations Chris O'Hara says there are plenty of ways to save money by using Offer Zone due to the huge range of deals - from health and beauty to automotive services and everything in between.

"Our customers will save money on every day purchases and the not so regular ones too by using Offer Zone and shopping locally," says Mr O'Hara.

Mr O'Hara says this web-based initiative is a win-win for TrustPower's business customers and residential customers.

"Offer Zone has been created with the aim of promoting local business to people in the local community."

"We strive to support our communities and reward customer loyalty so Offer Zone is a way to thank both our business and residential customers in Rotorua and Taupo," says Mr O'Hara. Getting great deals is easy. All you need to do is register using your TrustPower customer number from your power bill. Once you're registered, each offer has a unique offer code - just quote this code, or take along the voucher with you to get the deal.

If you're a TrustPower business customer and would like to get on Offer Zone, just phone 0800 87 00 87. It's free, quick and easy to set up. "Not only is it free advertising for your business, but its' quick and easy to set up, we use built-in analytics to measure the success of your offers, and it exposes your business for free to almost 16,500 people across the Rotorua and Taupo districts as well as 60,000 people in Tauranga," says Mr O'Hara.

Deals are categorised under Food and Drink, Travel and Leisure, Retail and Services, Arts and Entertainment and Business Services.

To mark the launch of Offer Zone in Rotorua and Taupo, TrustPower has placed fifty free $50 power credits on Offer Zone exclusively for Rotorua and Taupo customers. To be eligible for the draw, visit Offer Zone on its launch day, register with your TrustPower customer number and enter the draw to win a $50 power credit.
