Treasury searching the world for top talent
The Treasury will start a worldwide search for a new Deputy Secretary, Macroeconomic, International and Economic Research.
The Treasury’s current Deputy Secretary Macroeconomic & Fiscal Environment, Struan Little, has been appointed as a Deputy Commissioner of Inland Revenue.
The new Deputy Secretary will provide strategic leadership on broad economic policy issues - in particular fiscal and monetary policy strategy and settings and New Zealand’s international linkages. The person appointed to the role is expected to bring a strong international perspective to the Treasury’s work.
The person appointed to the role will also be part of the Treasury’s Executive Leadership Team, which is currently being strengthened and adapted to ensure that the Treasury continues to effectively deliver its outcomes.
