Dairy and Meat & Fibre groups gain new chairpeople
Federated Farmers has new chair people for its Dairy and Meat & Fibre industry groups following their respective Annual General Meetings in Rotorua today.
Federated Farmers Dairy elected Ashburton farmer Willy Leferink as its Chairperson replacing Lachlan McKenzie who has stepped down.
Meanwhile, Mt Hutt farmer Jeanette Maxwell was elected as Federated Farmers Meat and Fiber Chairperson, replacing Bruce Wills who also stepped down. Ms Maxwell also becomes the first woman ever elected as a Federated Farmers Meat & Fibre chairperson.
The Dairy Vice-chairpeople are Robin Barkla and Andrew Hoggard, with Michelle Riley and Kevin Robinson rounding out the industry group's executive.
Ciaran Tully returns as the Sharemilkers Section Chairperson.
The Meat and Fiber industry group's new vice-chairperson is Dugald McLean. Tim Mackintosh was re-elected to the executive and the new members are Will Foley and Lyn Neeson.
