Five Choice Hotels Christchurch Properties

Choice Hotels’ five properties in the Christchurch area suffered damage from the 22 February earthquake and two of the properties remain closed until an engineers report can be carried out.

Two further properties are fully functional and the third has power but water is still being bought in. These three properties are currently housing emergency services personnel and insurance assessors who are in the City working as a result of the earthquake.

The damage to properties is currently being assessed; however Choice Hotels aims to have all its properties fully functional as soon as possible in order to accommodate existing bookings for guests over the coming weeks and months.

The current status and timings are:

· The Marque Christchurch – Clarion Collection, 166 Gloucester Street is currently closed but accepting reservations for arrivals from 18 April.

· Chateau Blanc Suites – Clarion Collection, Cramner Square is closed without access but accepting reservations for arrivals from 1 May.

· Comfort Hotel Carlton Mill, 19 Bealey Ave is fully functional and fully booked until 10 October.

· Quality Inn Towers On The Park, Cnr Deans Avenue & Kilmarnock Street is fully functional and fully booked until 27 March.

· Econo Lodge Canterbury Court, 140 Lincoln Road is fully functional and fully booked until 31 March.

The safety of guests and staff remains the top priority and guests can rest assured that closed properties will not be reopened until Choice Hotels is satisfied they are safe. Further updates will be provided as information comes to hand.
