Paramount Services buys Security Cleaning Services
Leading commercial cleaning franchise company Paramount Services has bought Auckland-based cleaning company Security
Cleaning Services to further grow its franchisee network.
Paramount Services managing director Galvin Bartlett says Paramount franchisees service more than 1,300 sites in 25
cities and towns nationwide.
Paramount Services cleans commercial offices, warehouses and industrial buildings, office parks, retail shops and malls,
hotels and motels, residences, healthcare providers such as rest-homes, schools and tertiary institutions.
Security Cleaning Services was established in 1987 and its clients include 80 ASB Bank sites in Auckland, Waikato and
Bay of Plenty.
Bartlett says acquisitions over the last five years have enabled Paramount to establish a strong nation-wide franchise
network to service national clients. “The purchase of Security Cleaning Services provides economies of scale as the new
business can be managed through our well established back-office accounting system and customer service centre.”
Paramount Services won the Business Services Franchise System of the Year in 2009/2010 and Supreme Franchise System of
the Year 2008. The judges said delivered "the complete franchise package. It has excellent approaches, well deployed,
for excellent results." Paramount Franchise Services impressed the judges with its compliance and quality management
systems, staff training and commitment to environmentally friendly cleaning and recycling.
In January 2010 Paramount Services won a major contract to clean 183 ANZ-National Bank branches in the top half of the
North Island. Other major multi-site clients include BNZ Bank, Farmers Trading Company, APN Publishing, Ports of
Auckland, SkyCity cinemas and Hoyts cinemas.
