Amelia Owen Joins Phoenix Cosmetics as Manager of the Phoenix – House of Makeup in Takapuna

AUCKLAND, Monday 17 May 2010 - Phoenix – House of Makeup, the proudly Kiwi home-grown cosmetics company well known in local fashion circles, has appointed Amelia Owen to manage its boutique in Takapuna.

Amelia works closely with owner Phoenix Renata, to manage a growing team of talented makeup artists. She is responsible for running the shop as efficiently and successfully as possible and for putting Renata’s vision into action.

“I am delighted to have Amelia back at Phoenix Cosmetics; she originally worked for me 5 years ago when I first started the business, “says Renata. She is a engaging and caring person and makeup artist and this reflects in her ability to build strong relationships with her clients”

“Phoenix and I work very closely together, to ensure that the shop is constantly evolving and that our customers are happy with our service,” says Amelia. “Every day is different - sometimes I'm doing paper work, and sometimes I'm cleaning, but most of my time in store is spent with our clients, providing the services we offer - makeovers, lessons, lash extensions, and brow shaping.

I consider myself very lucky to have a job that I love. I began in the makeup industry as a young, creative person, wanting to vent my creativity, and have fun, while earning a living. I have discovered that I have the ability to make a woman feel fantastic about herself, which I think is just so cool. I get paid to make women look and feel wonderful, which is a highlight about my job. I also feel very proud to work for a company which is New Zealand owned.”
