Pulse Expands Offering in New Deal
In a deal which secures it’s position as a rising force in the meter and meter data management marketplace, Pulse Utilities subsidiary Pulse Metering Limited has signed a four year contract with Contact Energy, one of New Zealand’s biggest power companies.
Pulse Metering is a fully owned subsidiary of Pulse Utilities New Zealand Limited. Pulse Metering has been established to provide independent specialist time-of-use metering data management services and significantly expands the company’s business offering.
Under the deal Pulse Metering will undertake a meter technology refresh for all Contact Energy customer sites that were acquired from Energy Direct Limited (EDL) in May 2009. It will also provide specialist data management services for the duration of the contract.
Pulse Utilities CEO Dene Biddlecombe said the growth of Pulse Metering builds on the skills and technology the company has developed in its smart metering business. “We have proven expertise in this area so it has been a natural progression for us to move into metering support systems.”
