Anders Crofoot elected NZ Grassland Association President
President of Federated Farmers Wairarapa, Anders Crofoot, has been elected President of the Dunedin based NZ Grassland Association at its AGM held at Waitangi.
“I am deeply honoured to become President of the New Zealand Grassland Association,” says Mr Crofoot.
“The Association provides a vital forum for those interested in the leading edge of pastoral farming. It facilitates farmers in getting the latest information on pastoral research and technology.
“A big feature of the Association is to identity best practice in pastoral farming as well as trends and opportunities. The Association also addresses agricultural issues and developments and this complements my role at Federated Farmers.
“For instance, I delivered a paper at the AGM entitled Carbon Credits - Reliable Cashflow? This reflected our experience of trading carbon credits. It’s a sure sign that farmers are looking at all the tools available to them.
“I wish to pay tribute to retiring President and long standing Federated Farmers member, Pat Garden of Roxburgh. He leaves big shoes that I look forward to filling,” Mr Crofoot concluded.
