Growing a business despite the tough times.
Totally Organised takes on the challenge of the recession
Christchurch, New Zealand - 22nd October 2009
In a time when we are hearing stories about economic doom and gloom, one Christchurch company is capitalising on the economic situation.
One of the fastest growing industries in an economic downturn is the Direct Selling industry, people are looking for ways to make extra money and also entertain without is being too expensive. So Totally Organised has introduced a specialised line of Organising products that are sold using the "Party Plan" method.
"Taking the concept of being more organised to the people is a great way to expand the business during what could have been a tough time. We are also giving people to opportunity to get on board and start their own business." Says Wendy Davie, Director of Totally Organised.
"At the moment so many are looking at ways to cut spending and also bring in some extra cash. By being more organised around the home and planning well there is a natural flow on to saving time and money. Also we give people the chance to make some money, we are covering all the bases."
So instead of worrying about the economy and battoning down the hatches, the team at Totally Organised has been working to make their business better and stronger and give others the chance to also develop businesses of their own. Totally Organised is one of those companies that has seen opportunity in this environment and taken the plunge to expand.
Davie says "Our launch Get-together was a great success, and the demand for strategies and products to organise and simplify lives is on the increase, so we are seeing this as a wonderful opportunity for people to start their own business's."
It is wonderful to see innovation, motivation and imagination during the economic recession. Totally Organised has been in business for 5 years, and it's founder Wendy Davie, is New Zealand's only CPO (Certified Professional Organiser) and the author of "The Accidental Organiser". Her business has focused on decluttering, time management and organising services for homes and business's up until now.
This new direction is believed to be a world first with no other direct selling companies using "Party Plan" to sell Organising specific strategies and products. " I am excited at the prospect of helping others grow business's, and also watching people reap the rewards of being more organised" Says Davie.
