Industry training needs delivered in innovative HSI website
The hospitality industry can now access a wealth of training information and services through HSI’s revamped website,
which launched today.
The comprehensive and innovative website – www.hsi.co.nz – has been developed to better meet the training needs of the
hospitality industry, says HSI’s Chief Executive, Steve Hanrahan.
“The website caters to all involved in hospitality in New Zealand. Information is readily accessible for everyone - from
high school students thinking about a career in the industry to employers seeking relevant training support for their
staff,” Mr Hanrahan says.
Together with information on industry qualifications and events, the website’s features enable people to register for
conferences and courses, and to order resources and products online. Visitors to the site can also subscribe for RSS
news feeds for the latest industry updates.
Ease of use and accessibility to HSI training information are key features of the website. “The industry will benefit
from access to a quality site that will enable them to run their businesses better - it has been designed with users’
needs in mind,” Mr Hanrahan says.
“The site is really taking HSI to the next level in terms of providing information and being available for the industry.
Whether people are seeking training support, looking for a career, or connecting with our team, the website is the place
to find it.”
As the hospitality industry’s national training organisation (ITO), HSI leads access to training and qualifications for
the hospitality industry, including overseeing, supervising, assisting and reviewing all nationally recognised training
for chefs, waiters, baristas, bar persons, porters, hotel receptionists, room-attendants, house-keepers, supervisors and
managers.
