Settlement Reached On New Fonterra/DWU Contract
Fonterra today confirmed a settlement has been reached on a new three-year Collective Employment Agreement (CEA) covering about 4,500 milk collection and manufacturing employees.
“The Union has advised us that members have ratified the new CEA,” said Fonterra Director of Milk Supply Barry Harris.
Mr Harris described the three-year agreement as providing certainty and security for both Union members and the company going forward.
"It is a good outcome for both parties reflecting commercial realities and the current economic environment.”
“We’re pleased to have reached a fair and appropriate settlement. Our focus is now on moving forward together with this agreement in place.”
