Christmas spirit at Auckland Airport
Auckland Airport is preparing to donate $120,000 in the 12 days leading up to Christmas!
In the spirit of the season, Auckland Airport invites registered charities within New Zealand to apply for the “12 days of Christmas” promotion and be considered for one of 10, $10,000 donations which will be made in the 12 days before Christmas.
To be eligible to receive a slice of this Christmas cheer, charities must be operating in New Zealand and able to demonstrate their charitable purposes align with Auckland Airport’s values of being uniquely Kiwi, outstanding and welcoming!
Applications must be made before 5pm on Friday 5 December through Auckland Airport’s website www.aucklandairport.co.nz. The 12 days of Christmas donations will begin on Saturday 13 December and will continue everyday until Christmas Eve.
The $120,000 was collected through the generosity of the traveling public, donating their unwanted currency into donation globes situated throughout the airport. Auckland Airport collects this money and donates it to charitable organisations on behalf of the travellers.
Charities who have recently applied for a donation from Auckland Airport’s website need not apply; these applications will be considered in this process.
