New general manager for WhereScape Services
New Zealand data warehousing and business intelligence consultancy WhereScape has hired Dave Thompson as its new general manager.
Thompson has been working with entrepreneurs at The ICEHOUSE business incubator for more than a year and also operates as a New Zealand trainer for negotiating skills consultancy Scotwork. Before joining WhereScape he co-founded and worked as a director of IT services company nth degree.
Thompson had previously spent 12 years with Microsoft New Zealand, rising to the level of services director, and before that spent five years with Clear Communications, where he was software development manager. He has held other IT roles at NZI Finance and Air New Zealand and holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Auckland.
He said he joined WhereScape because he saw it as a highly innovative New Zealand software company with a successful track record here and offshore.

Michael Whitehead, founder of WhereScape said Thompson brought a huge depth of experience and knowledge of New Zealand IT issues to WhereScape.
