New Zealand’s outgoing tourism minister Damien O’Connor visited Aoraki Mount Cook last week.
Pictured with The Hermitage Hotel General Manager Denis Callesen, Mr O’Connor reinforced Aoraki Mount Cook’s position as a national tourism icon.
“This is the place of our highest mountain and of our highest achiever, Sir Ed Hillary.
“The recent investment by The Hermitage and Department of Conservation enhances this magical place as a must-visit New Zealand destination for both domestic and international travellers - a mix of amazing history, interpretation and experience. I will be back there soon.”
