Ford New Zealand Announce New Managing Director
AUCKLAND, New Zealand, 11 November, 2008
Ford New Zealand Managing Director, Richard Matheson, has today announced he is repatriating to the United States of
America. After six years at the helm of Ford New Zealand, Richard will return to Ford Motor Company in Dearborn to take
a senior position in the North American Field Operations Team.
Departing at the end of November, Richard notes it was a hard decision to make.
"My family and I have loved our time in New Zealand and have fully embraced the New Zealand lifestyle. New Zealand is a
wonderful country and at some later stage we hope to return," says Matheson.
"The last six years have seen huge changes in the New Zealand automotive industry and it has been great to be a part of
that change. I am proud of what we have achieved at Ford New Zealand over this time and know that the team is in a
strong position to tackle what lies ahead."
Concurrently, Ford New Zealand is able to announce Richard's replacement. Trevor Auger has been appointed to the
position of Managing Director of Ford New Zealand, effective December 1 2008.
Currently Sales Manager of Ford New Zealand, Trevor brings a wealth of experience in the automotive and Finance
industries to the role.
"Trevor is an incredible asset to Ford New Zealand and it gives me great pleasure to see him take over the reins. I wish
him and Ford New Zealand every success in the future," says Matheson.
