ISS acquire Chubb NZ guarding, mobile patrols

ISS Facility Services acquire Chubb New Zealand’s manned guarding and mobile patrols division
7 November 2008.— ISS Facility Services today announced it has obtained clearance by the New Zealand Commerce Commission for the purchase of Chubb New Zealand’s guarding and mobile patrols business.
“This acquisition is a major step in the strategic transformation of ISS New Zealand into a country-wide facility service provider. The acquisition of Chubb’s nationwide manned guarding and mobile patrols business will complement ISS Facility Service’s security operation, FIRST Security and boost its customer base with a well-known and respected business,” says Brian Young, CEO of ISS Facility Services New Zealand.
Chubb has over 50 years of security service experience in New Zealand and presently manages a nationwide base of over 2,000 customers within manned guarding (including event management, prisoner escort and court custodial services) and mobile patrol services (including alarm response and the mobile patrol installation and de-installation aspects of the Home Detention Contract and the EM Bail Contract).
FIRST Security currently offers manned guarding and mobile patrol services in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. ISS has extensive knowledge of the security industry and is committed to the long term future of its New Zealand manned guarding and mobile patrols business.
