NEW Sustainable Building Guides for Builders and Homeowners
ITM, in association with BRANZ, have just released two new building guides on ‘Sustainable Building’ and ‘Waste
Minimisation’.
“With the growing awareness and demand for waste minimisation and sustainable homes we are positive these practical
guides will prove popular with both building professionals and homeowners” says Paul Taylor, Group Marketing & Operations Manager at ITM.
ITM Building Guide: Sustainable Building
This guide provides builders and homeowners with information on energy and water efficiency, improving indoor air
quality and selecting environmentally preferable building materials.
ITM Building Guide: How To Minimise Construction Waste
This guide provides builders with simple, cost-effective and practical ways to minimise construction waste.
ITM would like to thank the many individuals and organisations that have assisted in the development of these guides, in
particular BRANZ, the Waste Management Institute of NZ (WasteMINZ), Recycling Operators of NZ (RONZ), the Energy
Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA), the Target Sustainability program, Certified Builders and Master Builders.
Copies of the guides are available to download from the ITM website www.itm.co.nz/sustainability or hard copies can be found at all ITM stores nationwide.
