Strong Growth For Mediaworks Radio Brands
MediaWorks Radio has enjoyed nationwide share growth for its key network brands across New Zealand in the latest Research International commercial radio survey.
The Rock, The Breeze, and Solid Gold Networks have all increased their national audiences and shares in the latest survey, and The Edge has remained steady.
National talk network Radio LIVE has also grown its market share 21.4% # from the previous survey.
“This is a pleasing result across the networks and proves the continued success of our brand building strategy across the audience spectrum to deliver strong, targeted audiences for our advertisers,” said Group Programme Director - Music, Jana Rangooni.
“Once again, The Rock is the most listened to music station in New Zealand, with an 11.0% national market share# and The Edge retains its lead as the music station with the most listeners in New Zealand, with a weekly average of 424,200 people*.”
Mitch Harris, Group Programme Director –Talk said the improvement in Radio LIVE’s market share nationally was encouraging.
“We are delighted to see this growth nationwide, especially with consolidation for some of our key shows which are challenging our competitors strongly,” said Mr Harris.
