Kiwibank's Retail Deposits Government Guaranteed
Kiwibank is one of the first banks to be approved for the Government's guarantee scheme for retail bank deposits.
Kiwibank's acceptance into the scheme has been confirmed by Treasury.
Kiwibank Chief Executive Sam Knowles said the bank already has a guarantee from New Zealand Post, but the Government
scheme will give even more security and confidence for customers.
The Government scheme guarantees all deposits to a maximum of $1 million per customer.
