Pink® Batts® Insulation receives Sensitive Choice
New Zealand’s most popular insulation supplier Pink® Batts® has been accepted into the Sensitive Choice programme by
the Asthma and Respiratory Foundation of New Zealand.
The Sensitive Choice programme recognises products that help create warmer, healthier home environments for sufferers of
asthma and respiratory aliments.
“To be accepted into the Sensitive Choice programme recognises the bio-soluble formulation of Pink Batts insulation and
our commitment to reduce mould, mildew and dampness in the home,” says Kristine Jones, Marketing Manager at Tasman
Insulation New Zealand.
“With over 12% of the population suffering from asthma and 40% suffering from allergies we see insulation as a vital
part of minimizing the discomfort caused by cold, damp homes, to help all sufferers improve their way of life,” says Ms
Jones.
Asthma and Respiratory Foundation, Executive Director, Jane Patterson supports the efforts of Pink Batts in helping to
reduce asthma and allergy triggers.
“It’s another way people can proactively manage their asthma,” she says.
Every product accepted into the programme is assessed by the Product Advisory Panel. Products carry the picture of a
butterfly – a creature which flies best in fresh air.

the triggers that contribute to allergies,” says Ms Jones
Tasman Insulation manufactures Pink®Batts® Ultra™, from up to 80 percent recycled glass and was the first insulation to
receive the tick from Environmental Choice NZ.
