Whanganui First Division Prize of $303,282 Claimed By Waikato Mother
A shocked Whanganui mother has claimed a Lotto First Division prize of $303,282 from this weekend's Lotto draw.
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, missed the Saturday draw because she was at a friend's Hen Night.
"I had my hands full over the weekend being the sober driver at a Hen night and completely forgot about my ticket until Monday when I was back at work," says the winner.
"The ticket was in my wallet all weekend. I even took it out with me when I was on the Hen's night," she laughs.
"I got a bit of a fright on Monday when I took the ticket in to get checked and found out I had won First Division," says the winner.
She and her family are delighted with win but plan to keep it quiet until they decide what to do with their new found wealth.
