Australia’s Number One Sparkling Range Launches In New Zealand
YELLOWGLEN TO SHAKE UP NEW ZEALAND BUBBLY CATEGORY
Yellowglen, the number one selling sparkling wine brand in Australia, with sales in excess of 1 million cases, and $100 million dollars per year, has launched in New Zealand.
Established in 1971, Yellowglen brings its impressive pedigree to New Zealand with aggressive plans to reinvigorate the dormant sparkling wine category on this side of the Tasman, with twelve quality sparkling products to suit every palate and occasion – from everyday bubbly to premium vintages.
The everyday range includes Yellowglen Yellow, the number one selling sparkling product in Australia, along with Yellowglen Pink. Competitively priced, the range has been responsible for leading the change from what has, up until now, been considered traditional sparkling occasions to a drink that can be enjoyed for any occasion.
Yellowglen’s everyday range also includes Yellowglen Jewel, a delicious lower calorie, lower alcohol [30% less calories and 40% less alcohol when compared to Yellowglen Yellow and Yellowglen Pink] alternative with between 60-65 calories per serve (150ml) which compares to a standard glass of sparkling which contains, on average, 99 calories.
Yellowglen Jewel, Pink and Yellow, have been the number one and number two fastest growing sparkling wine products in Australia since they were launched in April last year, meeting consumer needs for healthier alternatives.
Yellowglen’s premium vintage range includes Bella, Pinot Noir Chardonnay and Crémant. The full range is completed by Yellowglen’s gold award winning Vintage Perle, the result of a judicious blending of over 30 different components.
Chief winemaker Charles “Chilly” Hargraves says this reinforces Yellowglen’s ability to produce premium sparkling wines.
“The range is a result of the attention to detail from the Yellowglen winemaking team – and we’re thrilled to bring it to New Zealand.
Everyone loves Yellowglen bubbly and there’s something to suit everyone’s tastes,” says Chilly.
The Yellowglen range has a recommended retail price of $11.99 for the everyday range (Yellowglen Yellow & Pink, and Yellowglen Jewel Yellow & Pink), $16.99 for the vintage range (Bella, Pinot Noir Chardonnay and Crémant) and $24.99 for Vintage Perle. The entire Yellowglen range is now widely available throughout New Zealand.
